Be a GEM Ambassador

GEM stands for Generosity, Excellence, and Model of Service and Professionalism. At APO Global Foundation, GEM Ambassadors are a group of individuals dedicated to a life of Giving, Excellence, and life of service to the community. We aptly call ourselves GEM AMBASSADOR like a jewel that’s pure, exquisite, and priceless.

Putting whatever time and donations you can offer and afford would go a long way in alleviating the pain and suffering of the people that our humanitarian mission touches. All of our small donations have a bigger impact when we put all of them together.

What is required of me as a GEM Ambassador?

There is no requirement to attend any meetings or do any service to be a GEM Ambassador. Your physical presence is not a necessity. We have virtual webinars that you can join but only if you like to. You can help and contribute in so many ways. For example, distributing our brochures and informing your friends, co-workers, and relatives of our charitable work and mission is a big help for us. What matters most is that your heart is in the right place and knowing that as a GEM Ambassador, you can make a huge difference in the lives of the many people we serve.

How can you become a GEM Ambassador?

GEM advocacy is open to all individuals who would pledge and dedicate themselves to a life of Giving, Excellence, and serving as role models in our pursuit of helping those less fortunate and underserved in our community. As a GEM Ambassador, you can help and make a big difference in bettering the lives of the people we serve.

There is no membership fee to join and donations are all voluntary. You can donate your time, or as little as $5.00 to $10.00 a month, or whatever you can afford. As a token of our appreciation for recurring donations, a GEM Ambassador receives the following as they reach each milestone of service as a GEM advocate—you just need to pay for shipping.

At APO Global Foundation, the fight against hunger and poverty in the Philippines is not just a mission but a life's work of compassion and dedication. As a humanitarian organization, APO Global Foundation has been tirelessly working towards uplifting the youth and underserved families out of the never-ending cycles of hardship and despair.

One of the proven approaches that APO Global Foundation uses to tackle poverty is through livelihood training. Livelihood training helps in supporting the farmers and enables them to earn a sustainable livelihood for their families. In this regard, the board of directors of APO Global Foundation, represented by Bro Mar Garchitorena, handed over the seeds for backyard farming to Brother Rodelio Ligon Alpha 76B, Kapitan Harold Larete, and the Hapag Project Gulayan sa Barangay by our Philippine President Bongbong Marcos Jr. with Department of Agriculture Secretary.

Kapitan Harold Larete is a nursery operator from Nueva Ecija, a province in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. His experience and expertise in the field of agriculture make him an ideal candidate for implementing the backyard farming project. The seeds provided by APO Global Foundation will help the farmers in the area to start their small-scale farming, which will not only help them earn a livelihood but also contribute to the overall food security of the community.

To ensure the success of the project, a briefing and instruction session was held for the action plan and implementation of the project. The participants were briefed on the different aspects of farming, such as soil preparation, seed selection, planting techniques, and post-harvest management. The participants were also informed about the importance of maintaining hygiene and cleanliness while farming to prevent the spread of diseases.

The success of the backyard farming project will not only help the farmers earn a sustainable livelihood but also contribute towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of eradicating hunger and poverty. The project aligns with the Philippine Government's commitment to achieving the SDGs by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to its citizens.

In conclusion, APO Global Foundation's efforts towards fighting hunger and poverty in the Philippines are commendable. The foundation's decision to provide seeds for backyard farming to the farmers in the area is a step towards creating a sustainable livelihood and food security for the community. The implementation of the project by Kapitan Harold Larete and the Hapag Project Gulayan Project sa Barangay by O, President BBM/DA Secretary is a testament to their commitment towards achieving the SDGs and uplifting the underserved communities in the Philippines.
